Assistant Pastor of Family Ministry Nate Smith – Nate is a transplanted Hoosier who came to know Christ as a junior in high school.  After a short term mission trip to Bolivia he felt God directing him to begin serving with youth at his home church.  In college he studied Youth and Christian Ministries at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Nate met his wife Jill during a summer break from school as the two of them co-led the high school youth ministry at his home church.  After college Jill and he were married.  Nate worked two jobs, one in a factory and one as a part time youth director at a small Baptist church in northeast Indiana.

After two years the opportunity presented itself to come to Cable and serve as the “Pastor of Family Ministries.”  Nate has served at Living Hope Community Church since the summer of 2007.  In 2008 Nate and Jill welcomed their first child Josiah into their family.  It is Nate’s hope and prayer that families and young people would turn to Christ as the center and foundation of their lives and that through Him they might experience eternal life.
